When you lift your vehicle and put oversize tires on it.
The factory ball joint was not designed for the stress of the large oversized tires people put on their vehicles after the lift kit was installed. The excess stress causes premature ball joint failure.
If the ball separates from the socket of the upper a-arm your tire will fall under the vehicle. This caused more damage than the cost of the JBA UCAs!
